PVC, water balloons, heating element, lightbox, backlit color photo, string, cable, bondo, electric motor. Water balloons are gravity-fed via a fifteen foot long PVC chute to a motorized needle where they are popped one by one. The water from each ballon is fed via another chute to a boiling cauldron where it floats a small boat and eventually evaporates.
